The Porsche Boxster is a sports car that’s at home on a race track, and comfortable enough for a daily commute. Top down, the engine has a classic Porsche sound, an absolute delight for motoring enthusiasts. The car features balanced handling, rear-wheel-drive layout, and impressive stopping power with fantastic brakes. Few other sports cars are more balanced, more exhilarating to drive, or more fun.

The Porsche Boxster is available in two models, the base Boxster with a 245-hp, 2.7-liter flat six that teams with a 5-speed manual transmission and the Boxster S fitted with a 295-hp, 3.4-liter flat six and a 6-speed gearbox. Porsche's improved five-speed automatic Tiptronic S is an option on both models. The Sports Package offers the 6-speed gearbox including Porsche's Active Suspension for the standard Boxster.

Safety features on all models include frontal and side-impact airbags, a taller safety bar and higher headrests. Larger side windows have raised the height of the roof. Antilock brakes (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (ABD), electronic stability controls (PSM), and traction control (ASR) come standard on all Boxsters.
